Herbal-route hiking trails, herbalists, herbal meadows and herbal rooms - By the end of 2018, the Gurktal will be home to a unique herbal landscape with a wealth of herb-related activities. The aim of the LEADER project is to give the unique herbal landscape of the region a feeling of scent, touch and experience for all. The Gurktal, with its impressive areas of natural beauty invites holidaymakers and locals alike to hike and discover this hidden gem of a region. Similarly, the wide Sohlental valley delights with its picturesque herbal landscapes, which are integrated into the everyday life of Gurktaler in various forms. The combination of these experiences forms the basis for the LEADER project "Gurktaler Kräuterparadies", which was commissioned by the tourism region of central Carinthia. In it, a wide herbal map will be spanned across the Gurktal, consisting of herb paths, herb gardens, herbalists, herbal rooms and much more!
Due to the clear positioning of the Gurktal on the topic of herbs, the tourist market can be expanded and guests can be encouraged to linger longer in the region.
